Our Approach
Craig loves to help clients create bespoke furniture that can become lasting family heirlooms or built-ins designed to specifically suit your space. He prides himself on the personal touch and enjoys showing off the beautiful timber that Tasmania has to offer. Listening and working with the client through the build process from start to finish is fundamental to the way Craig works, so you can enjoy being involved in the creation of your piece.

It Starts With Beautiful Timber
Tasmanian timbers are renowned for their natural beauty and prized for fine furniture and design work. At Rockwood Furniture Design, we celebrate and value this resource by working with reputable suppliers to ensure sustainability and quality of the product. Our careful build process then begins by handpicking boards from these local timber yards, ensuring they possess good character and unique features. Since timber is a natural product, colour and grain patterns vary significantly. Taking the time to match each piece to the design is an important part of the process for Craig, which ensures the final piece is cohesive and celebrates the wood to its fullest. This attention to detail transforms rough-sawn lengths of timber into exquisite furniture art.
